Canon is a legendary name in the world of color imagery and the Canon ImageRUNNERC3380 is no exception. This color copier was designed with an on the go office in mind. The C3380 is capable of handling 10 jobs in queue at one time including printing, copying, faxing and scanning from desktops or the unit itself. Simple color copies can be handled at a rate of 30 pages per minute. If all you need are black and white copies that number goes up to 33 pages per minute. Based on Canon’s printing technology this copier can go from standing start to the first color copy in 8.9 seconds and for black and white that number drops to 5.9 seconds.
The paper capacity of the C3380 is very good as well. The standard setup comes with two 550-sheet cassettes and a fifty sheet manual bypass feeder but it can be upgraded with another two cassettes as well. There is also an optional 2,700-sheet paper deck bringing the full capacity of the copier with all optional equipment up to 4,950 sheets.
Perhaps the most versatile feature on this copier is the scanner. Not only can you scan documents and pictures to up to 100 mailboxes at 600×600 dpi, you can scan those images into vector graphics. You can take a vector image that starts at thumbnail size and expand it to billboard size without getting grainy.
